Advance Skin Tan removal treatment

Everyone’ wishes is to look fair and have a beautiful healthy skin. Currently with the help of dermatologist and Advance Skin Tan removal treatments, it is no longer difficult to achieve de-tan.

Tanning is one of the common beauty problems faced by almost everyone. The intensive heat of the sun affects our skin in many ways. Exposure to direct sun rays makes our skin look dull and tanned.

Tanning is the process in which increase melanin is produced by exposure to sunlight (ultraviolet) rays. This further darkens due to oxidation and causes skin tanning. This is the body’s natural way of shielding the skin from sun damage.

Skin types and complexions are different in every individual. Hence it needs dermatologist opinion to understand your skin type and to know the limitations for de-tan treatment for every individual.

The areas which are more prone to sun tan include:

  • Face
  • Hands & arms
  • Legs & feet
  • Back
  • Neck

Tanning Removal Treatments

Many people commonly prefer home remedies for tan removal such as applying lemon juice mixed with honey or turmeric powder mixed with lemon and curd for skin tan removal, though these treatments are time consuming and ineffective.

Tanning results in increase production of pigmented cells and even dead skin layers which make the skin dull and dry. It is often associated with sunspots, fine lines or wrinkles. We at Clear Skin Centre have all the following time-tested treatment options for skin tan removal.

Topical & Systemic medicines

Topical lightening creams such as kojic acid, azelaic acid, glutathione, etc are prescribed to apply in particular limited areas of the skin. They are typically prescribed by a dermatologist for treating skin tanning.

Retinoid are one of the most common ingredients of OTC products used for skin tanning. It is derived from Vitamin A, their small molecular structure allows them to penetrate deeper into the skin at the layers below the epidermis, thus allowing for an effective tan removal treatment.

Retinoid are potent enough to treat hyperpigmentation, and in combination inhibit melanin production. However, if the dermatologist suggests retinoid in a different form or as a treatment aimed at maintenance, significant results can be seen.

Systemic glutathione

Systemic glutathione is an antioxidant and prevents melanin deposition to sun damage. As we age, the body’s efficiency in generating glutathione decreases, and hence, we observe a subtle darkening of our original skin shade.

Glutathione intake in form of either oral shots or as injections boosts the glutathione levels in the blood thus helping in diminishing the melanin deposition and hence lightening the complexion.

Chemical peel

This is the most popular and best skin tan removal procedure. Chemical peel involves the use of mild to strong acids made from a natural component such as fruits, to remove the epidermis and thus helps in faster collagen production and skin rejuvenation.

Once the peel is applied, the outer layers of the skin either comes off  immediately or over some time, giving way to fresh and healthy skin from beneath and help in skin tan removal.

A lunchtime procedure, microdermabrasion involves exfoliating the skin using tiny particles or diamond burrs to remove dead skin. There is no downtime with the procedure and dermatologists generally recommend once every 2 -4 weeks to achieve the best results. The treatment is more suitable for people with mild pigmentation and in all improves the appearance of skin discoloration.

PRP is a facial rejuvenation treatment that uses your own plasma to stimulate collagen production and cell migration, allowing for the elimination of excess pigmentation, lines, folds, or wrinkles. The results are long-lasting and are natural-looking.

Light & Laser Therapy

Lasers are used to treat skin darkening and do not have any untoward effects. It is fairly painless and a non-invasive treatment. There are various types of laser treatments available, depending on your skin type.

Intense Pulse Light Therapy

IPL non-ablative laser therapy involves directing high-intensity laser pulses to the targeted areas. It is a proven fact that it is concentrated on specific areas; the overall effectiveness of this treatment is way more than the others. IPL is the best photo-rejuvenation treatment for sun tanning.

Q switched Nd: Yag laser

Q Switch is the gold standard laser for skin darkening or de-tans treatment. We at Clear Skin Laser Centre have both Q-Switch nano-laser and pico laser to effectively treatment for skin tan removal.

It emits a highly focused beam of laser light, which passes harmlessly through the upper layer of the skin and is absorbed primarily by the excess pigment within the lesion. As the light is absorbed, it is quickly converted to heat.

The sudden rise in temperature within the treatment target fractures the pigment into tiny particles. Pigmented cells are carried away by the lymphatic system, while pigmented lesions are naturally shed from the skin one to two weeks after treatment

Laser skin resurfacing

Laser skin resurfacing treatment can involve the usage of ablative or non-ablative lasers depending upon the extent of damage done to the skin, such as Fractional Co2, Erbium Yag, Erbium glass laser.

The method is standard and involves targeting the laser beam at the target spots in order to break down the pigments which then get removed through the usual bodily systems.
