Pulse Dye Laser

vbeamperfecta-treatment

Pulse dye laser(flash lamp pumped) is a laser which uses an organic dye mixed in a solvent as the lasing medium. The pulsed dye laser was designed to treat skin related benign vascular lesions.

The laser delivers an intense but gentle burst of yellow light to the skin. The light is specifically absorbed by the blood vessels in the dermis. These blood vessels are coagulated and then reabsorbed by the body during the natural healing process.

During treatment:You will feel a slight sting during the treatment. The V-Beam laser includes a dynamic cooling device that gives a quick burst of cryogen for cooling right after the laser is applied. This helps reduce pain and also reduces your chance of developing scabs or crusting.

After your treatment with V-Beam, you will probably have slight swelling or redness, usually this lasts for a few hours only and in some peoplewe also notice a laser bruise, called as purpura which usually fades away in 3 to 5 days.

Recovery:During the first 24 hours after V Beam Prima treatment, it is better to apply cold compresses for approximately 30 minutes. This will help to keep swelling down. For first week of your treatment, do not use any abrasive scrubs, use a gentle cleanser and moisturize your skin. You shoud not use retinoids for at least 2 nights after the treatment. Finally, as usual after any laser treatment, its important to avoid the sun and use sunscreens with an SPF of 30+.
