Long-Pulse Nd-Yag Laser-Laseroptek-Hyperion

US FDA approved laser system that produces laser emission at the wavelength of 1064nm. HYPERION utilizes the most up-to-date technology to enhance the stability and to improve the homogeneity of each beam.

Hyperion is a USFDA approved laser system that produces laser emission at the wavelength of 1064nm. Hyperion utilizes the most up-to-date technology to enhance the stability and to improve the homogeneity of each beam. The profile of each beam forms Flat Top. It results in even treatment, less side effect and less pain for the patient.

What is a Long Pulsed Nd:YAG Laser?

NdYAG (Neodymium Yttrium Aluminium Garnet) has a wavelength of 1064 nm, and it has the capacity to reach deeper layers of the skin compared to other lasers and is readily absorbed by hemoglobin and melanin chromophores, herewith its use for laser hair removal, for vascular lesions and laser genesis for reduction of wrinkles & skin tightening.

NdYAG can be used for multiple conditions like:

  • Hair removal
  • Vascular lesion (Acne Flush / Telangiectasia /Rosacea / Portwine stain / Leg Veins / Keloid)
  • Infection: Nail fungus, Wart removal and
  • Skin Rejuvenation & Tightening.

How does NdYAG laser work?

NdYAG works on the principle of selective photothermolysisby readily absorbed by melanin and hemoglobin chromophoresThis in simple words means that the laser energy selectively heats up the hair follicle without heating rest of the skin. When heat is absorbed by the melanin inside the hair, it is directed towards the germ cells in order to inactivate them from growing hair. Surface of the skin is kept cool in order to minimize the discomfort for the patient. Nd:YAG laser energy is selectively absorbed by the deeper levels of the dermis and allows for treatment of deeper vascular lesions such as telangiectasias, hemangiomas and leg veins. The laser energy is delivered using long pulses which are converted into heat in the tissue. The heat impacts the vasculature of the lesions. In addition, the Nd:YAG Laser can treat as laser toning , by heating the subcutaneous skin (in a non-ablative manner) it stimulates neocollagenesis which improves the appearance of facial wrinkles.

IsNdYAG Laser FDA approved?

Yes. Nd:YAG laser machines have been FDA approved to treat a variety of skin disorders (vascular lesions) and for permanent hair reduction.

Which areas can be treated for hair reduction with NdYAG laser?

Hair removal in any of the areas, big or small, e.g. face, neck, chest, back, underarms, and bikini line can be achieved effectively. Nd:YAG laser has proven success rates in treating dark hair (brown/black) and hence extremely suitable for most of the Indian skin types.

How is the procedure performed?

Laser light source of hand piece would be used and once it penetrates the hair follicle or deeper vessels, heat generated would deactivate the hair growth and vasculature of lesions. To minimize the discomfort, cooling gel or other cooling techniques would be utilized. NdYAG laser machines are FDA approved and thus effectively provide permanent hair reduction with enhanced safety.

What should we expect after the NdYAG procedure?

Some mild skin redness can be noted after the NdYAG procedure but this usually resolves within two to three days. After the NdYAG treatment, hair might shed in about two to three weeks and these hair should be allowed to fall on their own rather than pulling them.

What are the advantages of NdYAG Procedure?

Some mild skin redness can be noted after the NdYAG procedure but this usually resolves within two to three days. After the NdYAG treatment, hair might shed in about two to three weeks and these hair should be allowed to fall on their own rather than pulling them.

  • The NdYAG laser is the most effective technology for treating hair removal on Indian skin.
  • It works on men and women alike.
  • It is highly predictable and thus very safe and reliable.
  • To summarize, NdYAG laser is most effective and extremely safe way to achieve permanent hair reduction for Asian skin types.

Is NdYAG painful?

Some degree of pain, like mild stinging sensation, might be experienced duringNdYAG procedure. Anesthetic creams can be appliedto help the client, if needed. External cooling is required in few to minimize the discomfort experienced by the client.
